Jio IPO Listing Price PredictionsJio IPO Valuation Should Investors Hold or Sell Jio IPO Shares? What to Watch on October 28th JIO IPO Listing Was this writing helpful?Tell us why!Trust with CoinPedia:Investment Disclaimer:Sponsored and Advertisements:

The Jio Platforms IPO is scheduled to list on October 28, 2026, leaving investors to decide whether to book listing gains or hold their shares for the long term. The IPO was priced at ₹1,119 per share and reportedly received around 22 times overall subscription.

Grey market premium (GMP) estimates suggest a possible listing price of around ₹1,320 to ₹1,365, although these unofficial figures do not guarantee the actual listing price. Investors will need to assess the opening price, market demand and Jio’s valuation before deciding whether to sell or hold.

Jio IPO Listing Price Predictions

The reported grey market premium of around ₹202 per share points to a potential listing price of approximately ₹1,321, representing a gain of about 18% over the issue price. Other estimates put the potential listing price closer to ₹1,365, implying a gain of around 22%.

However, these estimates differ and may change before listing. The actual price will depend on buying and selling demand when trading begins.

The IPO reportedly received strong demand across investor categories, with overall subscription of around 22 times and qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) subscribing approximately 70 times. Strong subscription indicates demand during the IPO, but it does not guarantee similar demand in the secondary market.

Jio IPO Valuation

Jio’s valuation is another factor investors should consider before holding shares after listing.

Based on the reported earnings per share (EPS) of ₹33.59, Jio’s price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was approximately 33 at the issue price of ₹1,119. At a share price of ₹1,344, the P/E ratio would rise to around 40. A price of ₹1,512 would imply a P/E ratio of approximately 45.

The market analysis compares these estimates with Bharti Airtel, which reportedly trades at a P/E ratio of around 40–41. This comparison suggests that Jio’s potential for further gains may depend on whether investors are willing to assign it a higher valuation.

However, the P/E ratio alone does not determine which company is a better investment. Investors should also compare earnings growth, revenue, profitability and debt.

Should Investors Hold or Sell Jio IPO Shares?

The number of shares available for trading can affect Jio’s share price after listing. If more investors sell than buy, the price may fall.

Anchor investors face lock-in periods that restrict when they can sell their shares. However, other investors can sell their shares after listing.

Investors should monitor trading volume and buying demand instead of assuming the price will rise because some shares are locked in.

– Listing gains: Investors who applied for short-term gains may consider selling their shares if Jio lists at a substantial premium to the issue price of ₹1,119.

– Short-term holding: Investors willing to hold for a few weeks should monitor price movements, trading demand and selling pressure before deciding when to exit. Setting a clear exit level can help manage potential losses.

– Long-term investment: Investors planning to hold for several years should assess Jio’s revenue growth, profitability, earnings and valuation before deciding to retain their shares.

What to Watch on October 28th JIO IPO Listing

Investors should monitor Jio’s indicative price during the pre-open session, the final listing price and trading activity after the market opens.

A premium listing could offer an opportunity to book profits, but it would not necessarily mean the stock will continue rising. Similarly, a weaker-than-expected opening may require investors to reassess their original investment plans.

For long-term investors, Jio’s future financial results and ability to support its valuation will be more important than the grey market premium alone. Neither strong IPO demand nor comparisons with Airtel guarantee further price gains.
