Crypto analyst Dark Defender has pointed to a massive long term Cup-and-Handle pattern on XRP’s monthly chart, with the setup now moving toward a major breakout zone. The pattern has formed over several years, stretching from around 2017 to 2026
Based on this structure and larger Fibonacci targets, Dark Defender sees a potential XRP price target of $750–$1,000.
XRP’s Formed Bullish Multi Year Cup-and-Handle
In a recent tweet, Dark Defender shared a monthly XRP chart showing a large Cup-and-Handle pattern that has formed from around 2017 through 2026. The cup formed through XRP’s major 2017 rally, the following multi-year decline, and its long recovery.
The handle formed after the 2021 peak, when XRP entered a long consolidation before starting its latest recovery.
Dark Defender believes this long-term structure has now completed, calling it the “biggest Cup & Handle ever” for XRP.
With the pattern now complete, Dark Defender is looking at the Fibonacci levels above the current price to map out XRP’s possible next moves.
$1.88 Could Confirm XRP’s Next Move
XRP is currently trading around $1.61, while Dark Defender’s chart places $1.88 at the 161.8% Fibonacci extension. This makes $1.88 the first major level XRP needs to clear as the pattern moves into its potential breakout phase.
A sustained move above $1.88 could bring the higher Fibonacci levels into focus, with the chart showing targets around $18.22, $74.39 and $333.12.
Meanwhile, these levels are technical projections and do not guarantee that XRP will reach them.
Dark Defender Sees XRP Reaching $750–$1,000
Dark Defender’s longer-term view goes even further.
He currently sees XRP reaching $750–$1,000 and believes the targets could eventually move into the five-digit range.
The analyst said his earlier XRP targets were based on factors including tokenized asset growth, circulating supply velocity, XRP’s share of collateral, collateral ratios, Fibonacci time zones, and historical patterns.
XRP Gains 20% as Whales Accumulate
XRP is trading around $1.62, up about 10% today and 20% this week, making it the biggest gainer among the top 10 cryptocurrencies.
The rally comes as whales reportedly bought 470 million XRP worth around $724 million in five days.
It’s not just whales showing interest in XRP, institutional demand is also seeing strong growth.
In the span of just three days, spot XRP ETFs recorded $53.90 million in inflows, while cumulative net inflows have reached $1.76 billion.
