The NEAR price has finally escaped a falling wedge that controlled its market structure since 2024. After bottoming near $0.85 in February 2026, NEAR climbed to $3.0 by early June, only to face the wedge’s upper dynamic resistance and retreat toward the 1.50–1.60 region by mid-August.
That pullback didn’t last. Bulls returned quickly, creating the demand surge that eventually pushed NEAR above the falling wedge in September. The token then rallied toward $4.80, putting a major technical breakout on the table.
NEAR Price Needs to Hold This Breakout Level
NEAR recently cleared resistance at $4.34, but the breakout still needs confirmation through sustained trading above that level. A successful hold could open the door toward $5.0 and potentially $6.0.
However, crypto markets rarely offer clean follow-through. If the NEAR price slips below $4.34, the next important area sits between $3.30 and $3.70. That zone could become the test of whether the September breakout has genuine support or was simply another sharp move inside a volatile market. For now, $4.34 is the level bulls need to defend.
NEAR Intents Changes How Zcash Moves
The technical breakout comes alongside a major claim about NEAR’s role in Zcash transfers. Previously, moving Zcash often meant using centralized exchanges, creating an account and waiting around 30 minutes.
NEAR Intents now supports native ZEC transfers across more than 30 chains, including Ethereum and Solana, in just a few seconds for less than a cent. Users don’t need to manually bridge assets or interact with destination-chain contracts.
According to NEAR Protocol, users have transferred more than $2.4 billion in ZEC through NEAR Intents. That figure points to substantial usage and positions NEAR as a key transfer layer for Zcash.
NEAR’s Breakout Meets Growing Zcash Utility
The combination of a falling-wedge breakout and rising Zcash transfer activity gives NEAR two separate developments to watch. Technically, the $4.34 level remains crucial. On the utility side, NEAR Intents is handling native ZEC transfers across multiple chains.
If the NEAR price sustains above $4.34, traders may focus on $5.0 and $6.0. If it fails, the 3.30–3.70 region becomes the next major support area.
