XRP Price delivered one of its strongest monthly performances in August 2026, gaining 36.9% and marking its third-best August in its trading history. The token had stronger August gains in 2021, at 58.9%, and 2017, at 45.2%.
The rally came after XRP fell to a yearly low of $0.98 on August 14. The recovery picked up around August 19, with most of the monthly gain coming in the final 10 days.
Despite the XRP/USD Strong Rally in August, XRP gained only about 4% against Bitcoin.
The XRP/BTC pair is currently around 0.001754, down about 48% from its January 2025 high of 0.003415. XRP/BTC recorded seven monthly declines during the first eight months of 2026. August was the only positive month, with a gain of about 4%.

XRP Price Prediction Q4-2026
Several indicators could determine whether XRP’s recent momentum develops into a broader Q4 rally.
1. September XRP/BTC close
The September monthly close will be an important early signal. A positive close could support the historical seasonal pattern, while a negative close would weaken the bullish setup.
2. August high on the XRP/BTC chart
A clean break above the August high could provide stronger confirmation for the Q4 bullish case. Until that happens, seasonal trends alone remain insufficient to establish a sustained breakout.
3. October performance
October’s historical record will also be important. A green October would challenge one of the strongest historical patterns associated with XRP/BTC.
4. Bitcoin dominance
Bitcoin dominance could provide clues about whether capital is rotating from Bitcoin into altcoins such as XRP. A sustained decline in Bitcoin dominance would strengthen the argument for an altcoin rotation.
5. Distance from the January 2025 high
The XRP/BTC pair remains around 48% below its January 2025 high of 0.003415. A strong fourth quarter would need to materially reduce that gap for XRP to demonstrate a meaningful improvement against Bitcoin.
For now, the September XRP/BTC monthly close could provide the next major signal. A sustained breakout against Bitcoin would offer stronger evidence that XRP’s recent rally represents more than a short-term dollar-driven recovery.
