EdaFace provides both primary and secondary markets for NFTs. This allows users to mint, display, buy, sell, and transfer their NFTs across different platforms.
Primary NFT Market
A primary NFT market is the marketplace where an NFT is originally created and minted.
For example, when you create and mint your NFT on the EdaFace NFT Marketplace, EdaFace becomes the primary market for that NFT.
The EdaFace NFT Marketplace is divided into three different arenas to make it easier for users to find and explore NFTs.
Click the link below to access the EdaFace NFT Marketplace arenas:
Each arena is designed for a specific type of NFT:
- Art Arena for Art NFTs
- Collectible Arena for Collectible NFTs
- Gaming Arena for Gaming NFTs
This makes it easier for users to find the type of NFT they are interested in.
Secondary NFT Market
A secondary NFT market is a marketplace where an NFT can be displayed or traded after it has already been minted on another platform.
For example, you can mint an NFT on platforms such as OpenSea or Binance and then transfer it to the EdaFace NFT Marketplace for display to the EdaFace community.
In this case, EdaFace becomes a secondary market for that NFT because the NFT was originally created and minted somewhere else.
The same works in reverse.
You can mint an NFT on EdaFace, then transfer it to another platform or keep it safely in your crypto wallet.
How NFTs Appear on Non-NFT Secondary Markets
NFTs are digital assets that use blockchain technology, just like other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ether, and EDA.
Because NFTs are blockchain-based digital assets, they can also be listed on some platforms that are not specifically designed as NFT marketplaces.
These platforms can give NFT owners additional opportunities to expose their NFTs to potential buyers.
There are two major types of these platforms:
1. Centralised Exchanges
Centralised exchanges, also known as CEXs, are crypto platforms operated by a central company or organisation.
Examples include:
- Coinbase
- Kraken
- Bybit
- MERX
- OKX
- KuCoin
2. Decentralised Exchanges
Decentralised exchanges, also known as DEXs, allow users to trade digital assets without relying on a central authority to facilitate every transaction.
Examples include:
- EdaFace DEX
- Uniswap
- PancakeSwap
When an NFT is listed on a non-NFT market, it may be displayed primarily as a digital asset or token rather than as a complete NFT artwork.
This means buyers may not see the NFT’s artwork, animation, sound, or other visual and interactive features in the same way they would on an NFT marketplace.
For this reason, many NFT owners choose to list their NFTs on both NFT marketplaces and other crypto platforms.
They can use the non-NFT platforms to reach more potential buyers and direct interested buyers to the NFT marketplace, where they can view the NFT’s artwork, sound, animation, or other features.
