Chun Wang, who was once among the founding partners of F2Pool, one of the largest Bitcoin mining pools in the world, attracted the attention of the market with his on-chain transactions in recent weeks. Wang, who moved his assets from central exchanges to private wallets and some decentralized finance protocols throughout May and June, changed direction in July and started transferring a large amount of crypto assets back to Binance wallets.
After two months of debuts, the direction changed
Wang removed approximately 91,945 ETH and 973 WBTC from central platforms in a two-month period. The total value of the assets in question reached approximately 221 million dollars during the transportation period. Such exits are generally interpreted positively in the market, with a tendency to hold and the expectation that selling pressure may remain limited.
However, this situation was reversed at the beginning of July. Wang sent 16,800 ETH and 60 WBTC to Binance on July 2. A day later, another 9,800 ETH were added. On July 27, Arkham data recorded a new entry of 3,345 ETH. The value of this transfer was calculated as approximately 6.5 million dollars.
| Period | Process direction | assets | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| may and june | Exit from stock exchanges | ETH, WBTC | 91.945 ETH, 973 WBTC |
| July 2 | Login to Binance | ETH, WBTC | 16,800 ETH, 60 WBTC |
| July 3 | Login to Binance | ETH | 9,800 ETH |
| 27 July | Login to Binance | ETH | 3,345 ETH |
The market is watching these movements closely
Assets held by large investors in private wallets are considered as supply that does not return to the market in the short term. In contrast, coins sent to exchanges mean ready liquidity for sale or other transactions. For this reason, transfers worth tens of millions of dollars by high-profile names like Wang are important, especially in terms of short-term price movements.
By July, Wang’s strategy changed markedly; The long-term custody approach has been replaced by more quickly accessible liquidity on a centralized platform.
F2Pool is known as one of the oldest and largest players in the Bitcoin mining ecosystem. Chun Wang is also among the founding names of this structure. Therefore, his wallet movements are not seen as an ordinary investor transaction and are closely monitored by on-chain data trackers.
It is not yet clear whether the assets are being prepared for direct sale or moved to the stock exchange for other transactions. In the coming days, spot volumes and related wallet movements may more clearly show the true impact of these transfers on the market.
As the amount of assets returning to the stock exchanges increases, the possibility of short-term selling pressure in the market is monitored more closely.
