Video and Thumbnail File Pairing Guide;
Before minting your Video NFTs on the EdaFace NFT Marketplace, ensure that your Video Files and Thumbnail (Thumb) Files are properly prepared and paired.
1. Equal Number of Video and Thumbnail Files
The number of Thumbnail Files must be the same as the number of Video Files you upload.
For example, if you want to mint 7 different Video NFTs, you must upload:
- 7 Video Files
- 7 Thumbnail Files
If you want each NFT to have a unique cover image or background appearance, then each Thumbnail File should be different.
2. Matching File Names
Each Thumbnail File must have exactly the same name as its corresponding Video File.
The EdaFace Minting System automatically pairs Video Files with Thumbnail Files based on their names. If the names do not match, the system will not be able to create the correct pairing.
Example
If your Video Files are named:
- videotest1
- videotest2
- videotest3
- videotest4
- videotest5
- videotest6
- videotest7
Then your Thumbnail Files should also be named:
- videotest1
- videotest2
- videotest3
- videotest4
- videotest5
- videotest6
- videotest7
This allows the system to correctly match each video with its intended thumbnail image.
Important Information
1. Maximum Upload Size
The combined size of all Video Files and Thumbnail Files in a single minting session must not exceed 50 MB.
2. File Names Are Case Sensitive
File names must match exactly, including capital and lowercase letters.
For example:
- VideoTest1 is different from videotest1
- VIDEOTEST1 is different from videotest1
Ensure that each Video File and its corresponding Thumbnail File have identical names.
3. Organising Your Files
For easier management, you may store your files in separate folders:
- One folder for Video Files
- One folder for Thumbnail Files
This can help you keep track of your files before uploading them for minting.
4. File Arrangement Does Not Matter
The order in which files appear inside a folder does not affect the pairing process. EdaFace pairs files based on their names, not their position within a folder.
