Banking giant Standard Chartered forecasts that Chainlink native token (LINK) to hit $200 price target by the end of 2030. In a new research note titled “Chainlink – Owning the rails,” the bank expects the growing tokenization of real-world assets to make Chainlink an increasingly important part of financial markets.
Why Standard Chartered Sees LINK Reaching $200
Standard Chartered’s Head of Digital Assets Research Geoffrey Kendrick expects LINK to benefit as more traditional assets move onto blockchains.
The bank projects tokenized assets on public blockchains could grow from around $340 billion today to $4 trillion by the end of 2028. That growth could create much higher demand for the infrastructure needed to bring outside financial data onto blockchains.

This is where Chainlink becomes important.
Tokenized bonds, funds and other financial products still need data such as prices, asset values and market information. Chainlink provides this data through its decentralized oracle network, allowing blockchain-based applications to use information from outside the network.
The bank’s report gives LINK a path from $13 in 2026 to $41 in 2027, $82 in 2028, $133 in 2029 and $200 by 2030.
How Chainlink Could Benefit From the Tokenization Boom
Standard Chartered’s view goes beyond Chainlink’s role as a price-data provider. The bank points to Chainlink’s growing work in cross-chain transfers, data feeds and financial settlement as key parts of its long-term case.
Its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, allows different blockchains to communicate and move assets between networks. This becomes increasingly important as banks and financial companies launch tokenized assets across different blockchain networks.
Chainlink has also worked with major financial names, including Swift, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard and UBS, strengthening its position in the growing tokenization market.
The bank expects the value of assets active in DeFi to reach $2.7 trillion by 2030, creating another potential source of demand for Chainlink services.
LINK Price Still Faces a Short Term Test
Despite the long term forecast, LINK is currently facing pressure in the market. Chainlink is trading around $8.25, down about 0.5% over the past 24 hours. The token recently struggled to break above the $8.24 resistance level, keeping short term momentum weak.
A move above $8.40 could give buyers a stronger signal, while a fall below $8.18 could open the way toward the next support near $7.95.
