SBI R3 Japan will be renamed SBI Solana Global
Within the scope of the partnership, Solana Foundation will become a partner of SBI R3 Japan. The company, whose shareholders include SBI Holdings and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, is planned to be renamed as SBI Solana Global in the future.
SBI Holdings aims to directly connect Japan’s financial assets, market participants and legal infrastructure for digital assets with Solana’s global network. Through this structure, the group plans to make Japan one of the centers of on-chain financial activities in Asia.
The new structure is aimed to provide an integrated market infrastructure from issuance to distribution and settlement by connecting digital financial assets created in Japan with global liquidity.
