The number of commercial transactions carried out by artificial intelligence systems alone on XRP Ledger has exceeded 1 million. Current on-chain data has revealed that this mobility over the x402 protocol has now moved beyond experimental trials. The threshold became clear with the launch of the XRPL AI Hub platform, developed in partnership with t54 and the XRP Ledger Foundation.
Most of the transaction volume was concentrated in three infrastructure players
According to records, there are 121 active sellers in the system. On the other hand, more than 77 percent of the transaction volume exceeding 1 million was concentrated in three major infrastructure providers. While Heurist Mesh ranked first with 404,091 transactions, LucyOS reached 367,733 transactions. AskSurf recorded 23,076 transactions.
Heurist Mesh stands out as a decentralized computing network where artificial intelligence agents can rent GPU power from each other on a minute basis for model inference. LucyOS is positioned as an artificial intelligence-driven operating system where independent bots exchange services and coordinate tasks. AskSurf, on the other hand, offers a smart search service that purchases structured data in real time. XRP Ledger Foundation operates as a non-profit organization that supports the development of the XRP Ledger network.
| Platform | Number of transactions | Main usage area |
|---|---|---|
| Heurist Mesh | 404,091 | GPU power rental |
| LucyOS | 367,733 | Service and task coordination between bots |
| AskSurf | 23,076 | Real-time structured data retrieval |
The remaining traffic showed a longer distribution, spanning dozens of wallets. Approximately 2,400 transactions per address indicate that standard autonomous artificial intelligence agents are now deployed more regularly and quickly.
Highlights of XRPL architecture
The x402 integration developed by t54 eliminated human intervention in the payment and reconciliation chain. Thus, software can manage balances directly without the need for traditional tools such as debit cards.
Mini dictionary: x402 is a protocol structure that aims to enable software and artificial intelligence agents to use services by making direct payments on the internet. In this model, machines can establish transactions with each other without the need for intermediary payment layers.
XRPL Foundation member Vet said that the XRP Ledger architecture strongly meets the needs of the autonomous artificial intelligence economy. According to Vet, while transaction costs increase unpredictably during peak times in some other blockchains, XRPL offers a fixed and very low fee structure. This allows developers to calculate the cost of artificial intelligence operations more clearly.
The network also stands out with its fast settlement structure, XRP’s global liquidity, and built-in decentralized exchange infrastructure that enables automatic conversion of assets at any time of the day. Together, these elements could reshape assessments of the functionality of XRP and Ripple USD.
How is the 1 million transaction threshold interpreted?
Vet emphasizes that the XRP Ledger architecture meets the requirements of the autonomous agent economy, especially that fixed and low transaction fees allow developers to calculate costs in advance.
When evaluating this threshold, t54 co-founder Chandler Feng states that development progresses slowly for a long time, then suddenly accelerates.
The 1 million transaction threshold stands out as an important data showing that the usage area has become more concrete at the intersection of artificial intelligence and crypto infrastructure. In particular, the fact that commercial transactions occur directly between software indicates that the infrastructure on XRP Ledger can play a more visible role in the new generation machine economy.
