Approximately $73.5 million worth of cryptocurrencies were stolen in a recent exploit on Ethereum’s Curve protocol. However, good news has emerged as 73% of the stolen funds, worth around $52.3 million, have been returned. However, the first Curve CRV-ETH exploiter, with the address 0xb752…b324, is currently holding the remaining $19.7 million that has yet to be recovered. The exploit, known as the reentrancy attack, allowed the hacker to repeatedly withdraw funds from the protocol, leading to significant losses for affected users. It remains to be seen whether efforts to recover the remaining stolen funds will be successful.
