Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Makes Major Claims Against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to Dorsey, the Indian Government allegedly ordered Twitter to delete accounts and remove messages related to farmer’s protests. Failure to comply would result in shutdowns and raids on Twitter India employees’ residences. The Indian Government, however, vehemently denies these accusations, dismissing them as an “outright lie.” The government claims that Dorsey and his team violated Indian regulations and refused to comply from 2020 to 2022. During the protests, misinformation and fake news circulated on social media platforms, particularly Twitter, leading to instances of violence.
