Many of Twitter’s previous policies which were intended to fight misinformation have been rolled back by Musk. He promised a “general amnesty” that would start this week, restoring the majority of suspended accounts. He grabbed headlines after firing approximately half of the 8,000 employees of the company. Musk had earlier said on Twitter that Apple may remove Twitter from its App Store. However, after meeting Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, Musk said that the misunderstanding has been cleared. “Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”
