Dapper Labs, the company behind NBA Top Shot and the Flow blockchain, announced it has laid off 51 full-time employees and contractors. This follows previous layoffs in February and November last year, as the company aims to become leaner. CEO Roham Gharegozlou stressed that the company remains well capitalized, with Flow funded by a separate pool of capital. Dapper Labs had a valuation of $7.6 billion when it raised money in September 2021, but its revenue has since dwindled, generating just $1.93 million in April 2022 compared to $224 million peak revenue in February 2021.
