Corporate connections are strengtheningTransformation in public offering and management

Brett Redfearn, a former US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official, became the president and board member of Securitize, which operates in the field of digital assets. Securitize stated that it needed Redfearn’s experience in the regulatory field as it prepared to go public this year.

Corporate connections are strengthening

Brett Redfearn is a person who managed the Markets and Trading Division at the SEC and worked in the field of capital markets and regulation for many years. According to Securitize’s statement, Redfearn will work with the company’s management to expand the scale of the company’s activities in issuance, trading and fund management.

Securitize facilitates the conversion of traditional financial assets, such as funds or private loans, into digital tokens with blockchain technology. Thus, these assets can be accessed more easily by different investors and can change hands more quickly.

Recently, the field of tokenization has attracted the attention of large financial institutions. Banks and asset managers are making various experiments to create faster, transparent and accessible opportunities for investors by placing assets on the blockchain.

Transformation in public offering and management

Securitize is positioned as a regulated bridge connecting corporate customers with the world of digital assets. The company has plans to enter the stock market by merging with Cantor Equity Partners II in the near future. Brett Redfearn joined the company with the aim of increasing the management’s weight in regulatory knowledge.

Recently, it has been observed that many crypto and financial institutions have recruited experienced names from the regulatory side. This development stems from the need to take more secure and compliant steps in complex legal processes.

Carlos Domingo, Securitize co-founder and CEO, said: “Brett played a decisive role in how today’s markets are structured and regulated. He dominates our business model, team structure and long-term vision.”

Redfearn’s career includes important roles in traditional finance and crypto. Before joining Securitize, he ran the financial advisory company Panorama Financial Markets Advisory and provided support to stock exchanges and asset managers in various areas.

He also worked as the head of the capital markets unit at Coinbase, strengthening the participation of institutional investors in digital asset markets. Prior to his time at the SEC, Redfearn held various positions at JP Morgan for more than 12 years.
