CoreWeave and Meta have significantly expanded their collaboration, which previously reached up to $14.2 billion, with a new agreement. The total value of the deal reached approximately $21 billion. As part of this collaboration, CoreWeave will provide dedicated cloud computing capacity to Meta until 2032.
Scope of the agreement and technological innovations
The new collaboration between both companies is designed to enable Meta to develop and implement its AI-based technologies. The infrastructure will span different geographic regions and include early-stage deployments of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform. This platform stands out as a new generation artificial intelligence supercomputer architecture that offers high efficiency, reliability and scalability.
The Vera Rubin platform is seen as an important stage in the transition from simple generative artificial intelligence systems to more advanced solutions called ‘agentic AI’, which can take more independent steps towards their own goals. This change aims to enable artificial intelligence to make its own decisions without relying directly on human commands.
Another striking aspect of the agreement is that one of the focal points is “inference”, that is, the continuous operation of artificial intelligence systems. This approach, which is gaining more and more weight in the sector, aims to keep artificial intelligence systems in constant use, not only for education.
Long-term strategic cooperation and its effects
CoreWeave, as a prominent technology company in the field of cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure, draws attention with its rapid growth recently. The company serves large technology companies with the solutions it offers in areas that require high processing power, especially artificial intelligence. Meta, on the other hand, is steadily increasing its investments in artificial intelligence, as well as its initiatives in the fields of social media and metaverse.
In the statement made by the companies, CoreWeave’s senior manager Michael Intrator emphasized that large-scale technology companies prefer CoreWeave’s cloud services for their most powerful artificial intelligence workloads.
This development once again showed that leading companies choose our cloud services for artificial intelligence applications that require the highest level of processing power.
As part of the collaboration launched in 2022, Meta continues to benefit from CoreWeave’s strong infrastructure to develop new artificial intelligence-based products. It is stated that with the new contract, Meta has secured large-scale cloud resources for advanced artificial intelligence systems.
With this long-term strategic move, Meta aims to implement new generation artificial intelligence-based applications more reliably and quickly. With this collaboration, CoreWeave has demonstrated that it can continue to undertake long-term work with the leading technology giants of the industry.
