Ledger, a Paris -based crypto hardware wallet company, warned that there was a new attempt to fraud against its customers. It is reported that scammers demand that their users to verify for their wallet security through physical letters.

The company said in a statement shared on social media that the letters sent by fraudsters to customers are not real. In the shares, the information contained in the letters users, wallet recovery expression to enter a certain connection to enter the statement said.

Ledger pointed out the simple security policies organized for the security of its customers and added that such verification has not been made by them. The company stressed the need to be careful against unusual movements. The letter sent by the scammers includes the following statements.

“We are contacting you in relation to a critical security update that requires emergency attention. As part of our commitment to maintain the highest safety standards, all users must verify their wallets using rescue expressions to provide continuous and safe access to Ledger devices.” – Jacob Canfield

Security measures and warnings

The company repeated that 24 -word recovery expression was never requested from its customers. It was recommended that they should not be involved in any communication other than the official support channels and to negotiate with the authorized support team directly in suspicious situations.

Ledger said he took the necessary measures through social media platforms in case of fake accounts. It is important for users to take their own security measures against fraud and prefer official channels.

The warnings are aimed at creating awareness of the personal security of users. Customers can get detailed information about the situation by communicating with official support in the face of any suspicious incident.
