Cryptocurrency Exchange BingX Falls Victim of Hack Attack! $43 Million Stolen!

Cryptocurrency exchange BingXwas the victim of a hack attack worth approximately $43 million. The company’s CEO Vivien Lien announced that users will be compensated for their losses and that the incident will not affect their operations. The hack attack cost $13.25 million Ethereum (ETH) $2,433$2.3 million BNB (BNB), $4.4 million Tether (USDT) and other altcoins were reportedly stolen from exchange accounts.

The initial attack resulted in a loss of approximately $26 million. Then, a few hours later, the hackers stole an additional $16.5 million from the exchange. In total, the hackers took a variety of cryptocurrencies, including more than 360 different altcoins, for a total loss of $43 million.

Uniswap And Kyberswap via ETH and BNB The majority of these funds, which were transferred to an account associated with the hot wallet of the BingX exchange, are still held in this wallet. BingX CEO Makes Statement on Hack Attack

BingX CEO Lien said, hack attackHe stated that the attacks will not affect the general operation of the exchange. “The total loss is minimal and manageable. These attacks will not affect our business operations,” he said, reassuring users.

Lien also stated that trading operations on the exchange continue uninterrupted, but there may be a temporary delay in deposits and withdrawals, and that this situation will return to normal within 24 hours at the latest.

Following the incident, the exchange announced that it would compensate its users for their losses and that it had begun work to increase security measures. BingX aims not to lose the trust of its users with the rapid measures and transparent communication taken after the hack attack.
